Will my XPRESS Keypad work with Sonos S2
Yes! We are excited to announce that xPRESS is fully compatible with the Sonos S2 Platform. After installing the update to your Sonos system and installing the new Sonos S2 Controller App, your existing xPRESS Keypads will function like they did prior to updating your system to S2. No other actions are needed to reconfigure your xPRESS Keypads.
Will my XPRESS Keypad work with Sonos S1
Yes! In the even that you do not move your Sonos system over to Sonos S2 and keep a dedicated S1 only system your xPRESS Keypad will work without any issues as it did prior to the release of Sonos S2.
Will my XPRESS Keypad work with a combination S1 and S2 system in one house.
No. Sonos has designed both the S1 and S2 systems to function on a singular network however the IPORT Connect App will not recognize the devices on the S1 System reliably when S2 devices are also present. We would then suggest splitting those systems onto separate networks in your home. Doing so will allow xPRESS to join one of the two networks. For more information on how to create a new network please refer to your wireless network documentation and to sonos.com/support for info on setting up a new Sonos System.
