UPDATE 11/04/2020
- Upon the release of iOS 14, communication with xPRESS and the IPORT Connect app (v2.1.15) was affected on an iOS system level. We have confirmed that in iOS 14.2 beta software Apple has fixed this issue, and the functionality of our current IPORT Connect app (v2.1.15) was fully restored. We are still waiting for Apple to release the official iOS 14.2 update but feel this is soon. What this means is, new keypads or keypads that need to be reconfigured through the IPORT Connect App will need to wait until Apple release iOS 14.2. We will make sure to update this article and others when we have confirmation iOS 14.2 is released. We appreciate your patience at this point and value your support of xPRESS.
On September 16th Apple released iOS 14. This iOS update currently causes communication interferences with the current IPORT Connect App. IPORT is working with Apple on a solution, and we will update this article with any news once it's available.
Affected Products
- Setting up or Reconfiguring any xPRESS if you are currently on iOS 14.
Non-affected Products
- Setting up any xPRESS if you are currently on iOS 12 or iOS 13.
- Currently configured xPRESS keypads.
Action Steps
If you have not updated to iOS 14 and plan to set up your xPRESS keypads, IPORT recommends not updating to iOS14 until IPORT confirms functionality with iOS 14.
If you have already updated to iOS 14, IPORT recommends locating an iOS device running iOS 12 or iOS 13 to complete your setup of xPRESS.
IPORT does not recommend updating iOS 14 to a prior iOS as it may delete data.
