IPORT is pleased to announce a solution for xPRESS to communicate properly with SONOS products on SONOS version 12.1 (S2) software and iOS devices running iOS14. Please read below for more information on how to update your keypads.
Existing xPRESS Keypads on Sonos S1
If your keypad is currently running Firmware 1.0.4.20 or below and your Sonos systems is running on Sonos S1 (OS 11) or below your keypad should not be affected as long as you do not need to reconfigure your keypad.
New or Reconfigured xPRESS Keypads Setup on Sonos S1
If you are setting up a new xPRESS keypad or Reconfoguing your xPRESS keypad and you are running a Sonos S1 System (OS 11) system please contact Tech Support, support@iportproducts.com, and provide the Serial Numbers of your keypads as we need to make a change to allow your keypad operate on your Sonos S1 System.
Sonos 12.2 (S2) and xPRESS
If you are running Sonos S2 (OS 12) and your keypad has stopped communicating to your Sonos system, follow the below steps to reform a Firmware Update and IPORT also suggests updating your iOS to iOS 14.2. To perform a Firmware update:
- First, fully charge your keypad to ensure there is enough battery life to perform a firmware update.
- Second, once the battery is fully charged, perform a manual Firmware update by holding the Play/Pause button along with the Volume Down button for 10 seconds until you see the purple flashing LED.
- Following the update, your xPRESS will blink white for a few seconds. At this time, test the keypad with the paired SONOS device.
At this point, your xPRESS is again functional with you're SONOS devices. If you need to set up or reconfigure your Keypad, please keep reading.
iPORT Connect App and iOS 14
IPORT is excited to announce Apple has officially released iOS 14.2 on 11/05/2020 which has resolved the communication error with the IPORT Connect app (v2.1.15). Setup and reconfiguration of xPRESS Keypads should resume normal operations. Please run a software update to your iOS device and ensure you are updated to iOS 14.2 to resume normal operations of IPORT Connect and your xPRESS Keypad.
