The New IPORT CONNECT platform was developed using simple and robust components to deliver long lasting and reliable power solutions for iPad. In the unlikely event you are experience any charing issues with your iPad in a CONNECT product try these steps to resolve the issue.
If your iPad is not charging while in a CONNECT PRO case and is mounted or docked onto a BaseStation, WallStation or MultiDock:
- Power cycle the iPad by holding the power button and shutting down the iPad. Turn the iPad back on, place the Case back onto the Station or Dock and verify if charging continues. At times the iPad charging management built into the iPad Firmware needs to be reset via a power cycle of the iPad.
- If charging is not restored to the iPad, remove the iPad from the Case, Test the iPads normal charging function using the Apple charging cable provided with the iPad to determine if there may be any charing related issues with the iPad itself.
- With the iPad removed from the IPORT CONNECT Case inspect the wiring from the Lightning Cable to the interface board inside the Case. Make sure the cable has not come loose.
- Verify there are not visible obstructions on the round Station Interface Connector or the row of conductors on the Dock Interface Connector preventing proper connection the the Interface connection on a Station or Dock.
BaseStation Troubleshooting:
- Verify the provided Power Supply is plugged into the wall.
- Verify the DC Barrel Connector is plugged security into the bottom of the BaseStation and has not dislodged itself. If so reinsert the DC cable and test.
- Open the BaseStation and inspect the DC Barrel connector is securely connected to the CONNECT DC Power Adapter. Refer to the BaseStatin Manual for instructions on how to open the BaseStation.
- Verify the proper voltage of at least 9V 1.5A is present from the Power Adapter. You can test the Power Adapter directly or verify there is a green light showing on the DC board inside the BaseStation.
- If using PoE+ to power the BaseStation verify the CONNECT PoE+ Upgrade Adapter is securely connected to the DC Board.
- Verify the Cat 5 Cable is connected to a PoE+ port of a PoE+ switch or injector.
WallStation Troubleshooting:
- Verify the provided Power Supply is plugged into the wall.
- Verify the DC Barrel Connector is plugged security into the DC to RJ45 adapter in the Wall and has not dislodged itself. If so reinsert the DC cable and test.
- Remove the WallStation from the wall and verity the RJ45 to TE connector is connected to the DC Board on the back of the WallStation.
- Verify the proper voltage of at 9V 1.5A is present from the Power Adapter. You can test the Power Adapter directly or verify there is a green light showing on the DC board inside the WallStation.
- If using PoE+ to power the WallStation verify the CONNECT PoE+ Upgrade Adapter is securely connected to the DC Board.
- Verify the Cat 5 Cable is connected to a PoE+ port of a PoE+ switch or injector.
MultiDock Troubleshooting:
- Verify the provided Power Supply is plugged into the wall and the IEC cable is securely connected to the Power Supply.
- Verify the DC Connector is plugged security and latched into the DC input and has not dislodged itself. If so reinsert the DC cable and test.
- Verify the cradle adapters are securely seated in place and not preventing the CONNECT PRO Case from making contact to the MultiDock interfaces.
- Verify the Multi Dock is displaying either Red or Green LED lights when a Case is docked indicating the MultiDock is receiving Power. When the iPad is charging the LED for the the iPad Dock will show RED and will turn GREEN when the iPad is fully charged.
